Release Info:
Released in England in 1983, this LP contains previously unreleased studio demo outtakes.
It was pressed with two identical but differently coloured inserts: one pink and one yellow. What is unique about this LP is that, although most copies had white labels, some had labels specifically designed for export, which was typical of other British pressings at the time.
This was because certain countries, such as Japan, did not accept British LPs with white labels. While it was still possible to export white-labelled vinyl to Japan, doing so often caused customs or distribution problems.
Other titles treated this way include Joy Division's Atmosphere, Pink Floyd's Beyond the Stars (black and red covers only), and The Jam's Sound Affects—all of which were British pressings, though not necessarily from the same producers.
Consequently, the first series of pressings features white labels with yellow or pink inserts, while the second series features black labels customised with the various track titles.
Later copies were reissued from the same original plates, featuring a white insert and customised labels.
The songs are listed at the bottom right of the insert, but unfortunately, the track listing is incorrect.
