Release Info:
"Restless Nights" is a collection of studio songs that were excluded from the album The River.
On the front cover is a large photo of Bruce in a checked shirt, on the back completely yellow with the LP titles.
They produced 4 or 5 TEST PRESSING copies on black vinyl with white labels and handwritten titles, with WILL/A and WILL-2 matrices.
A further 4 or 5 TEST PRESSINGS, on transparent vinyl, were then produced, again with plain white labels.
Faced with the two TEST PRESSING copies, the bootleggers decided to opt for the transparent version but making it a Picture Disc.
So once the decision was made, the original print that came out, was on Picture Disc with WILL/A and WILL-2 matrices.
Unfortunately, as time passed, and humidity, these once perfectly transparent Picture Discs and also the TEST PRESSINGs became amber, darkening the images, especially those on the back.
Given the success they had, the bootleggers decided to continue producing other LPs, but for some reason they had to redo the plates, everything remained the same, versions, songs and order of the songs, but if we compare the two vinyls they have different paces and the dead wax present between the labels and the end of the engraving is not the same.
The matrices were also corrected from WILL/A and WILL-2 to WILL-1 and WILL-2.
As done originally, they tested the printing by doing 4 or 5 TEST PRESSINGS, always with white labels and handwritten titles, then with the pressing for sale, they pressed it on black vinyl with plain white labels, and the same front and back photos for the cover.
A few years later they printed copies again on picture discs with the new matrix but this time on black vinyl instead of on transparent vinyl.
