Release Info:
This double LP is, unfortunately, the incomplete recording of the Zurich concert of April 11, 1981.
The original pressing, made in a limited and numbered edition, has a white cover with a black and white photo of Bruce printed on it with the concert ticket next to it, the back, a circular photo in a circle, always in black and white, in the centre, and on the sides the song titles, under the writing "Limited Numbered Edition" and the number written in ballpoint pen.
The labels are personalised and the matrices "RD1" and "RD2".
Other copies were then reprinted with different matrices "SS3", very light writings that are barely visible, sometimes they are even visible only with a magnifying glass.
These versions are on orange vinyl and also in black vinyl, not numbered, but sometimes you can find these versions also numbered, a false numbering, that someone has numbered to make them more attractive.
The labels are plain white.
Other reprints are made, always with the same front and back covers, but with different coloured labels, plain white for the A sides and green and blue for the B sides.
The matrices are the same as the original version, but scribbled.
There are also "FAKE" versions, at no time have I ever heard of a single vinyl release for this show; all releases were double vinyl versions, so I thought it could be a real gem!
Most versions were numbered, but in this instance, unfortunately, the cover is a photocopy, probably done on a laser printer, and the number has been altered in pen, almost perfectly.
The vinyl is original, but most likely the second part was lost, or it was damaged, so they released it ‘as is’, just the one vinyl, pretending it to be a different version, maybe even a test pressing.
The front also has some differences from the original, after having photocopied the image, they cut the insert slightly smaller, so as to avoid any white from being seen.
I have left the scans with the differences and the serial number, so that you can see, and understand how the cover has been counterfeited.
So be very careful when you find yourself in front of one of these boots, you could be deceived and waste your money!!!
