Release Info:
Beautiful and historic 10 LP box set, undoubtedly the finest collection of Bruce material ever published before the mid-80s.
This box was released in 1984 in a limited edition of 1000 numbered copies, subsequently in 1985 another 500 copies were pressed with progressive numbering.
The differences that characterise these prints are three, and all on the last page of the rich booklet of over 20 pages included in the box, starting from the Roman numerals that indicate the year of release, the band members who increased in 1985 and the numbering.
On the back of the booklet there is printed "MCMLXXXIV” (1984) for the original pressing, and “MCMLXXXV” (1985) in subsequent pressings, the band members to which Nils Lofgren and Patti Scialfa were later added, and the progressive numbering.
There are also some unnumbered copies, which I believe are production leftovers.
Also in 1985, 50 numbered copies were also printed with a Red Box, 10 Picture Discs and with the addition of a red 45 rpm single.
This time the year number on the back of the booklet is not included, but only the number of copies, again in Roman numerals, from I/L to L/L (1 of 50 to 50 of 50).
There are also TEST PRESSINGS for both versions, made in 5 copies each, the black vinyl’s have anonymous white labels with the handwritten matrix number, the TEST booklet is also present, in a single copy, not bound, and not yet printed completely, and an incorrect TEST of the box, with an incorrect opening method.
