Release Info:
"The Demo Tapes is another legendary title, one of the most famous and most reissued boots ever.
The original pressing has a deluxe black and white cover and was made in the UK, with only 500 copies printed. They were numbered in a white band across the bottom right side, with the six-digit number printed with the same ink used to print the label on the A side of the vinyl.
The matrices engraved on the dead wax of the vinyl are "D1" for the A side and "D2" for the B side.
It was then reissued in the USA, with the same cover. There were 1000 unnumbered copies printed, again with the same white band, and the vinyl’s had blank white or red labels. The matrices are
BSD – A and BSD – B.
Given the huge success of the boot, they started to reprint it.
The first reissue had a photocopied cover, smaller than the original, with black vinyl and a personalised yellow label with the titles printed and the same matrices as the USA version.
It was reprinted again in an unknown quantity, with a white circle printed on the bottom left with the words "Special Vinyl" on various colour vinyl’s (Red, Blue, Yellow, Transparent and also blue with the cover filtered in green), all with SS5 matrices."
